Who Is Colleen Lynn has already posted about this whole mess with Blue Buffalo and the Helen Woodward Animal Center but I need to add my .02. Cuz..why not? It’s fun to watch Merritt get all *Oh my GERD* over stuff.

So. We’ll start here:

So, the anger of pit bull owners/supporters who were checking his site (to see if the ad had been removed) boosted his readership to the second highest weekly average ever. Um. What does that tell you about the daily readership of that site? Tells me… it ain’t much. This is why we generally hate sharing links to the sites and just use screenshots. They can’t differentiate between people going to the site because they are PISSED off and people going because they have some genuine interest in the articles on the site.

It’s incredibly funny to me that when pit bull owners/supporters stand up for our dogs we are “bullies who are harrassing”. But when the foamers stalk, harrass, lie, steal pictures, make untrue accusations etc, they are poor little victim supporters. You can’t have it both ways Merrittless. The truth is that we have EVERY RIGHT to stand up for our dogs and ourselves. We also have EVERY RIGHT to tell a company that is supporting YOU that we will no longer use their product because they are flying in the face of everything we believe in. It’s called consumer pressure and it happens every single day (just ask Hobby Lobby and Chick Fil A). We do not want to put money in the pocket of a company that is “neutral” about the idea of our dogs being killed. And as much good as Helen Woodward Animal Center might do, they are also making a huge mistake putting money in YOUR pocket. And we have every right to tell them how we feel. I’m sure all YOUR supporters will make up the difference in donations and support right? Oh…wait…maybe not. They like to yell and scream but I never see much money coming from them. Do you?

Speaking of the foamers…

So…we are harrassing them, but the foamers are what…not? Because they support them. Again, you can’t have it both ways. And OMG the pit bull advocates had a head start..because as per usual, you guys are clueless about what is going on in the world. The foamers spend so much time wrapped in their little blankets of hatred they are usually clueless and spend the majority of their time just trying to figure out what the hell just happened. That isn’t our fault either. We are fighting BSL, fighting for strong dangerous dog legislations, running low cost/free spay/neuter clinics, cheering the police when they make dog fighting busts, and saving lives. So we actually have a clue what is going on. Duh.

Finally,

Nobody I know of would ever mistake you for a pet advocacy site. You are a hate monger who likes to use big words to try to sound important and educated. But everyone knows who you REALLY are.

And yet..because you got a lot of hits over an ad that people were AGAINST, you think you have huge readership and now you want to raise ad rates for 2015. Good luck with that. Anyone giving you money is a moron. And I wonder how the people who have donated to Helen Woodward feel about their money going to YOU.
