About this Petition
Signing this petition would help urge the Mayor Lee Leffingwell and the Austin Texas authorities, to do an investigation on a supposed support group for bite victims, called Dogsbite.org. However they are using victims as a monetary gain to sustain their liveliehood and do not truly care for any victims. Dogsbite.org is known to use thrown out statistics and has been debunked repeatedly so, by advocates and experts. More to the point DBO only wishes to kill the pit type dogs, they do not care whom they hurt in the process.
Our beloved pit bulls lives are on the line because of this Organization.

It's not the dog that is the problem..........ANY dog can be TRAINED to fight! There was a time in this country when Pitties were "babysitters" for young children.....please take a look at some very old (1930's vintage) footage of the "OUR GANG / LITTLE RASCALS") shows. The dog that was always with the kids was Petey.....a Pit Bull Terrier.

INVESTIGATE THIS BOGUS GROUP, DOGBITE.ORG. we have a pit bull who is the sweetest dog we have ever had...we have had her since she was 4 months old saving her from being killed at South Central LA shelter. We brought her up with love and affection and that is what we get back! Our recued Maltese chases her around ! And she is so sweet with him. It is now a federal law that if you take a child to a dog fight it is a felony. Maybe the low class audience will now stop going and the promoters will stop increasing the fear of pit bulls. Dale L. Breed specific discrimination is wrong no matter what spin you put on it. Pit Bulls are not bad, in fact they can be very sweet dogs - I know this from personal experience with many of them. The problem is incompetent pet owners who don't train their pets properly. Punish them, not the animals who are the true victims here. Any media that promotes discrimination is unwanted and should not be out there where it can spew its hate toward innocent animals.
